EAR PIERCING AT NIKKI SMITH
Caring for your new piercing is just as important as the piercing itself. Be sure to follow your aftercare instructions carefully, and leave your piercing earrings in for the recommended healing time: Healing time: 6 weeks RIGHT AFTER PIERCING: -KEEP YOUR NEW PIERCING CLEAN & DRY: Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your ears or piercing earrings. -CLEANSE 3X DAILY: Cleanse the front and back of the piercing site 3x daily using aftercare solution. -ROTATE YOUR EARRINGS: Rotate the earrings completely during cleansing to prevent the posts from adhering to the ear. AFTER HEALING: -MIX IT UP: You may now change your earrings! After your 6 week healing period, you can change your earrings to other styles. For the next 6 months, do not go more than 24H without an earring or your piercing may close. -PLAY IT SAFE: Continue to clean your piercing site and earrings with your aftercare solution as needed. How many studs options do you have? - we have over 8 different options of earrings to pierce with! What material are the piercing earrings?- we have surgical stainless steel options as well as 24k gold plated surgical steel! How old do I have to be to be pierced? -We pierce anyone older than 15 and if they are under 18 a guardian will have to be present. Can I pierce more than 2 holes in one ear at the same time? -unfortunately, due to recovery process, we only will pierce one per ear at a time!

What material is your jewelry?
All of our jewelry is made out of a gold or silver PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) plating over stainless steel. This coating is the most modern coating process available on the market, making them wearable 24/7 without worry!
A few of our slider bracelets are 14k gold over sterling silver and should be taken off before wearing in water, workouts, etc.
How is your jewelry waterproof or water resistant?
PVD, or Physical vapor deposition, is a process we use for coating our stainless steel jewelry. The technique involves “blasting” the gold onto the base metal at a high temperature. During the process, the material moves from a condensed vapor phase into a thin solid film.
PVD coatings over stainless steel are more resistant to corrosion from water and regular wear than gold plating.
You can live in our jewelry with ease without worry!
How should I care for my jewelry?
Feel free to wear our stainless steel jewelry 24/7 at the gym, in the water and everywhere in between. When storing, keep them separate from other pieces to maintain the shiny color and remain as scratch-less as possible.
What does hypoallergenic mean?
Hypoallergenic jewelry means that there is a very low risk of causing an allergic reaction. We cannot guarantee everyone will have the same experience, but we do recommend hypoallergenic jewelry as the best option for those with sensitive skin.
Will your pieces turn my skin green?

PERMANENT JEWELRY + CUSTOM CHARM BAR
What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry (or forever jewelry) is where we custom fit and weld a gold-filled bracelet directly around your wrist,
neck, or ankle. It is a custom fit with no clasp and requires zero maintenance. We like to think of our Nikki Smith Designs forever pieces as permanent, but they can be simply taken off with scissors if need be.
When can I come get it done?
We offer our welding + charm bar services daily (7 days a week!) during opening hours at both locations. We currently do not take appointments, just come on in! What are my chain options and pricing for permanent jewelry?
We offer 17+ gold-filled chain options and 5+ sterling silver options. Our gold-filled chain is made in the USA and the 14K gold is mixed within a base metal, meaning the gold color will not fade! Get the best permanent jewelry in Dallas here at Nikki Smith!

What happens if my permanent chain breaks?
We hope your permanent piece never breaks but if it does we've got you covered!
The forever guarantee: We offer complimentary re-welding on our chains, always!
Re-welding jewelry that was not purchased with us: $15 per weld.
Not available to come in for re-welding? We can turn the chain into a regular bracelet. Just mail back the chain!
Lost your chain? Unfortunately, we are not responsible for lost jewelry after 30 days. If you would like it replaced you must purchase a new chain.
✨Re-sizing policy✨
If a child or adult receives a permanent piece and later decides they'd like it a bit larger, we’re happy to help!
Within 30 days of the original appointment, we offer a free resizing to make the piece larger.
After 30 days, resizing is no longer available.
However, you have two great options:
-Add a clasp for flexibility
-Purchase a $15 extension to increase the length

What is your custom charm bar?
Here at Nikki Smith, we are so excited to offer a custom charm bar to all customers! You are able to choose between a multitude of necklace and bracelet chains as well as huggie earrings. Choose as many charms as your heart desires to create the cutest, trendiest piece of jewelry you can wear daily!
What does custom charm bar pricing look like?
We offer 5+ chain options for both bracelets and necklaces. We also are able to create custom huggie earrings as well — the options are endless, truly!
