I've attempted to blog many times about business and jewelry but it has always fallen to the wayside! I'd love to share my journey of creating a business from literally a box of hand-me-down beads, and also to share some of the jewelry knowledge and current trends that I continue to learn about; So here is another attempt to do so!

I'd like to start with a simple version of how I started my jewelry business. In 2014 I started designing and hand-making jewelry that I could easily layer and mix to wear to my corporate buying job. Women wanted the jewelry I was wearing, and it encouraged me to continue to grow my newfound hobby. When I would wear pieces to the office, I would literally sell them right off my wrist or neck! From there, I started doing fairs and pop-up shop events every weekend and focused on how to brand myself and my pieces.

At night I would stamp boxes with my name, print stickers, paint displays, and create new one-of-a-kind pieces I could sell to basically anyone who seemed interested. My mentality was always to make more money than I spent, so I was forced to take apart things that didn't sell and try hard to sell what I had; I never allowed myself to buy new materials until what I had was used. Over the past 5 years I've continued to grow the brand slowly and organically, which are still my goals today!
